Match Preview
Welcome to the premier women's rugby match! This tournament has grown bigger and advanced annually, from just four teams back in 2018 to a considerably larger 12 teams. Interestingly enough, the championship match includes the Roosters and Broncos in the championship game, just as we did back in 2018.
Each squad have been remarkable during this year – Sydney remains undefeated in 2025 and Brisbane has dropped just one match. Both sides display star players throughout their lineups and either are very capable of taking the championship on their day.
These teams last met occurred in the third round – during July – when the Roosters secured a narrow victory by just four points. During that contest, the Roosters started strongly, built a significant break margin, before the Broncos mounted a final period fightback. Olivia Kernick notched a decisive final touchdown to ensure the win for the title holders in an entertaining encounter. Should the two sides duplicate that effort from their last encounter, fans can expect a superb match today.
Given the anticipation before us, let's begin!
